Background
In March 2024, the DFINITY Foundation, a Swiss non-profit organization and major contributor to the Internet Computer Protocol (ICP), announced a strategic partnership with Web3Labs and jointly launched the "ICP X Web3Labs Accelerator" on Olympus.
Olympus is a decentralized global acceleration platform initiated by the DFINITY Foundation and has received $15 million in funding. Olympus is committed to promoting the decentralization of the risk construction ecosystem of ICP and multi-chain projects, accelerating the development and implementation of cutting-edge Web3 and artificial intelligence technologies, and injecting strong momentum into the development of blockchain and artificial intelligence development technologies in Asia.
Today, ICP X Web3Labs Accelerator is now fully open for recruitment worldwide, sincerely inviting innovative Web3 startup teams from around the world to join us.
This is a platform full of opportunities and challenges. We will provide the selected teams with a five-month in-depth acceleration service, covering all-round support such as financial assistance, resource integration, technical training and market expansion. Here, you will have the opportunity to communicate face-to-face with the industry's top mentors and experts, absorb their wisdom and experience, and provide valuable guidance and suggestions for your project.
Accelerator Highlights
Olympus Special Grant Incentive: Selected high-quality projects can receive a special grant incentive of up to US$50,000 from Olympus;
Professional technical support: Provide technical guidance and support for selected high-quality projects in areas including but not limited to blockchain development, smart contract writing, and security auditing;
Marketing & Media Exposure: Selected projects will be promoted on Web3Labs and YouTube accounts, facilitate collaboration with community KOLs and media resources, and provide global PR consulting services. In addition, there will be opportunities to utilize various ICP ecosystem marketing and promotion channels;
One-on-one financing matchmaking: Web3Labs, together with the DFINITY Foundation and the Hong Kong Web 3.0 Investment Alliance, arranges one-on-one financing matchmaking opportunities for students to obtain capital support. In addition, project parties also have the opportunity to obtain joint investment from other leading VCs;
Recommend listing channels: recommend listing channels for selected projects, so that students can more smoothly bring projects to the market and attract more users and investors;
Policy and legal consulting: Provide accurate interpretation and guidance on the latest policy trends and legal requirements of the Web3 industry, and provide consultation and support in formulating business plans, policy consultation, and handling legal disputes;
SNS DAO token listing and financing: SNS DAO is a token issuance and DAO infrastructure platform developed by the DFINITY Foundation. High-quality projects can apply for public token issuance on this platform and become DAO governance projects after a successful public issuance. The ICP community needs to vote in favor of the project to be released through SNS DAO.
Other customized acceleration services: Provide customized acceleration services based on the characteristics and needs of the selected projects to ensure that each student can receive targeted special support.
Accelerator Mentor
Projects selected for the ICP X Web3Labs accelerator will not only receive in-depth guidance from Web3Labs professional mentors, but will also have the opportunity to communicate with Olympus mentors who will share their experiences, insights, and provide diagnostic feedback to the selected projects.
Accelerator cycle
The ICP X Web3Labs Global Accelerator Program will carry out a 5-month acceleration camp project, screening multiple excellent projects and providing a series of acceleration services:
July ~ August: Project recruitment
August ~ September: Project screening and opening of camp
October ~ November: Courses, Activities and Study Tours
November ~ December: Resource docking and project acceleration
December to June of the following year: Closing of the camp and follow-up
The specific arrangements may be slightly adjusted based on the actual situation at that time.
Project requirements
Technical content and innovation: It has certain technological breakthroughs and forward-looking innovative thinking in the Web3 track;
Sustainability and feasibility: The project team has developed a comprehensive and feasible sustainable development plan covering multiple dimensions such as fund raising, market expansion, technology iteration and team building to ensure the long-term stable growth of the project;
Team Capabilities: The project team must have the necessary technical and business skills to ensure the success of the project, including the background, experience, and expertise of team members;
Implementation Plan: Projects must provide an implementation development plan that clearly outlines how to use the support resources provided by the Accelerator to achieve the key milestones of the project;
Legal compliance: Ensure that the project's legal structure, contract signing and all related matters strictly comply with local laws and regulations;
Honesty and transparency: Adhere to the principle of honesty and transparency, maintain close communication and cooperation with the Accelerator, regularly report project progress, fund use and any major changes, and ensure that both parties have a comprehensive and in-depth understanding of the project;
Commitment and willingness to collaborate: Projects must demonstrate commitment to the Accelerator and willingness to collaborate, including actively participating in mentorship, collaborating with other teams, and sharing experiences.
