Internet Computer Protocol (ICP) has advanced with various education initiatives in the Latin American region.
With almost a decade of history, ICP is considered one of the most important projects within the global cryptocurrency ecosystem.
The main objective of the project is to create a world computer which can eventually replace centralized computing services and be able to store said information in a decentralized way.
ICP Hub Mexico lands in Latin America
Latin America has been considered one of the main regions of cryptocurrency adoption worldwide.
Statista confirmed the growth of the cryptocurrency ecosystem in the region by indicating that said market will reach the sum of 1.6 billion dollars by the end of 2024, growing at a compound annual interest rate of 10.32% over the next 4 years.
One of the main initiatives of the ICP project is known as ICP Hub Mexico.

The project was born during 2024 by leading figures in the crypto ecosystem such as Claudio Cossio and Cristina Loustanau, among others, being a community initiative that supports the adoption and development of the Internet Computer Protocol (ICP).
The hub fosters innovation, collaboration and knowledge sharing in the blockchain space. Within the project, Mexico is leading the way and coordinating the emerging nodes in Argentina and Colombia.
Education initiatives in Latin America
One of the main purposes of the ICP Hub Mexico is to carry out various initiatives with the aim of educating millions of people in the region.
In this sense, the project is preparing to launch an upcoming hackathon focused on hydrotech technology in the Mexican region of Aguascalientes, which will take place on July 11.
Likewise, in conjunction with ICP global, one of the main meetings of the 23 ICP hubs worldwide, known as the ICP Global Townhall, will be held on July 26.
Within the event there will be representations from various countries, it will take place in X.
Finally, during the month of August, the Hacker House will be held at the Summit Latam in Colombia.
