From October 2022 to April 2024, the number of businesses accepting cryptocurrencies increased from 7,731 to 10,952, according to BTC Map data. In parallel, the number of cryptocurrency ATMs increased by 57% in 2023, and there are now 181 million worldwide. According to a survey by ConsenSys and YouGov, 92% of respondents from 15 countries have heard of cryptocurrencies, and at least 50% know what it is.
