Former executives at Tether-backed German tech firm Northern Data have filed a lawsuit claiming they were unfairly dismissed after voicing concerns about the company's financial health and alleging tax evasion. Northern Data is Europe's largest Bitcoin miner and also operates data centers for artificial intelligence. Joshua Porter and Gulsen Kama allege that Northern Data lied to investors about the strength of its finances and was “borderline bankrupt,” as well as “knowingly engaged in tax evasion of tens of millions of dollars.” These allegations come as Northern Data is considering a US IPO of its artificial intelligence unit, which Bloomberg reports is valuing it at up to $16 billion. 📉🔍 What do you think?
