The volume of liquidations on crypto exchanges per day amounted to $387 million, according to Coinglass. More than 132 thousand positions were forcibly closed, most of which were long positions in BTC and ETH. This means that traders trading with leverage did not have enough funds to back them up.

About $120 million of liquidations were on Bitcoin, of which $99 million were on long positions. In the Ethereum cryptocurrency, the total volume of liquidations reached $101 million, the volume of forced closures of positions of traders who bet on the growth of the second cryptocurrency reached $90 million. The largest liquidation order was executed on the Binance cryptocurrency exchange in the ETH/USDT pair in the amount of $18.48 million.

At 20:00 Moscow time, July 4, Bitcoin was trading at $58 thousand. At that moment, the rate of the first cryptocurrency dropped to $56,789, updating a two-month minimum. Over the course of a day, the first cryptocurrency fell in price by 4%, within a month - by 17.9%.
