According to Cointelegraph, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) applied to dismiss the lawsuit filed by clothing company Beba and DeFi Education Fund on March 25, which asked the Waco District Court judge to rule that the BEBA tokens given by Beba were not securities. In its motion to dismiss the lawsuit, the U.S. SEC stated that the lawsuit was "not yet mature and is based on a hypothetical policy that the Commission has never passed and does not actually exist." Beba and the DeFi Education Fund did not point to "rules, orders or other SEC actions that reflect the promulgation of the alleged policy."
