"Dragon" commemorates the birth of whiskey

Indri, the famous single malt whiskey brand in India, recently announced that it will launch a limited edition whiskey series - "House of Black" and "House of Green" - themed on the popular HBO series "House of the Dragon". The partnership is a collaboration between Indri and Virtualness, a verification platform powered by blockchain and generative AI. Each bottle of “House of Black” and “House of Green” will come with a unique NFT blockchain certificate.

These NFT certificates will be scanned and verified via a QR code on the bottle, allowing consumers to instantly verify the authenticity and ownership of their purchase. Additionally, these certificates can be shared on social media, increasing interactivity and demonstrating the rarity of these limited edition bottles.

Siddhartha Sharma, Founder of Indri, said: "This partnership demonstrates Indri's commitment to innovation and delivering a superior experience to its customers. By partnering with Virtualness, we ensure that customers receive verification of ownership certificates when purchasing the limited edition of Dragonborn. .

Kirthiga Reddy and Saurabh Doshi, co-founders of Virtualness, also highly recognized this cooperation and believed that this cooperation has reached a new milestone in the luxury goods verification industry. Through blockchain technology, Indri is setting new standards in the global premium spirits market while also creating deeper connections within its community.

Features and pricing of the two whiskeys

The two whiskeys are themed after the battle between princesses Rhaenyra Targaryen and Alicent Hightower in Dragonborn.

  • House of Black is a peated single malt whiskey designed to embody the fiery spirit of the Black Parliament. This whiskey has aromas of creamy vanilla and raisins, with flavors of fig, toffee and chocolate on the palate.

  • House of Green is an unpeated single malt whiskey with aromas of banana and pineapple, and flavors of nuts and dried fruit.

The alcohol content and age of the two whiskeys have not yet been announced, but they are expected to be available in high-end retail stores in India at prices ranging from 6,000 rupees to 11,500 rupees (approximately $70 to $130) per bottle.

Piccadily Distilleries is one of the largest independent malts manufacturers and sellers in India and its Indri brand, launched in 2021, is known for India’s first and most award-winning three-barrel single malt whiskey. The launch of the "Dragon Chronicles" limited edition whiskey is an important step for the Indri brand to further expand its influence in the global market.

Application of Blockchain Technology and NFT

One of the highlights of this collaboration is the integration of blockchain technology and NFT into the verification process of whiskey bottling. Each bottle of whiskey comes with a blockchain-enabled certificate that consumers can access by scanning a QR code. This not only provides verification of authenticity of the purchase but also ensures a secure record of ownership. With the popularity of blockchain technology, this application has gradually become a trend in the high-end spirits market. Indri’s partnership with Virtualness sets an example for other brands to demonstrate how blockchain technology can be used to improve consumer trust and purchase experience.

Since Game of Thrones premiered in 2011, the show and its spin-offs have inspired an entire genre of brand collaborations, from the family-crested A SONG OF ICE to A SONG OF FIRE" to the cleverly named White Walker by Johnnie Walker Scotch Whiskey. This collaboration with Indri is undoubtedly another innovative interpretation of this trend. For whiskey lovers, this is not only a bottle of wine, but also a symbol of status and taste.
