BlockBeats reported on July 2 that according to the New York Times, the Supreme Court ruled on Monday that former President Donald J. Trump is entitled to broad immunity from criminal prosecution for actions taken during his tenure. Trump will seek to overturn the New York "hush money" conviction after the immunity ruling.

Previously, American adult film actress Daniels said that she and Trump had been having an affair since 2006, but Trump strongly denied having an extramarital affair with Daniels. Because she was worried about the safety of her family, Daniels accepted the "hush money" from Trump's personal lawyer. Trump's personal lawyer Michael Cohen also confirmed that he had paid Daniels $130,000 in private.

But Daniels pointed out that she and Trump's lawyer Cohen signed the so-called "hush money" document shortly before the election, but Trump did not sign it, so it is legally invalid.
