According to TechFlow, LayerZero CEO Bryan Pellegrino tweeted in response to code questions, saying that the accusations were unfounded. Pellegrino said that the code cited by the community was released in 2022 and that these configurations were security configurations for the application, not protocol configurations.

Even in the latest version, applications can still override this limit and prevent LayerZero from blocking message delivery by configuring the “load limit” to 0. Pellegrino stressed that this is not a vulnerability, but a design principle of the protocol to ensure censorship resistance of the technical rails.
