The first televised debate of the 2024 US presidential election has ended, and the second will be held on September 10

On the evening of June 27, local time in the United States, which is today (June 28) morning Beijing time, the entire debate lasted about 90 minutes. The two debated on issues such as the US economy, immigration, abortion, the Russian-Ukrainian conflict, and the situation between Palestine and Israel.

In dealing with immigration issues, Biden criticized the family separation policy implemented during Trump's administration; while Trump accused the Biden administration of failing to ensure the security of the southern border of the United States, resulting in criminals entering the United States.

Regarding the Capitol Hill riots on January 6, 2021, Biden said that Trump encouraged his supporters to go to Capitol Hill that day. Trump denied responsibility for the riots that day.

On the Palestinian-Israeli issue, Biden said that the ceasefire agreement he promoted included the exchange of detained persons and was a continuous ceasefire with additional conditions. When asked whether he supported the establishment of an independent Palestinian state to support regional peace, Trump did not give a direct answer.
