#thef#Asmall UK cryptocurrency broker, Lykke, revealed that it had lost the equivalent of R$118 million in a hacker attack. In response, the company decided to shut down its systems to limit losses. The attack would have happened last Tuesday (4), but the broker spoke about the matter only this Monday (10) on its social networks. However, security experts had already issued a warning about what happened before that. One of the first was the user SomaXBT, who in addition to mapping the transactions linked to the theft, also accused the company of hiding such information from the public. According to Tay, another security expert, among the stolen cryptocurrencies were 158 bitcoins (BTC), 2,161 ethers (ETH), 2,643 litecoins (LTC) and 982 bitcoin cash (BCH). In the following post, SomaXBT posted a screenshot of Lykke's Telegram, where the team announces unscheduled maintenance, but does not talk about any theft. The company also claims to know the IP used by the hacker, which can help in investigations, but can also be interpreted as a form of threat to the attacker. According to the text, they hired a security company to work on the case, but did not reveal names. #corretora #furto #perda #criptomoedas #noticias
