#Русскоязычные hackers from the CIS countries have become an “omnipresent force” in international cybercrime related to digital assets, says a TRM Labs report.
According to the study, Russian-speaking attackers are responsible for at least 69% of ransomware revenues, totaling more than $500 million in 2023. The two largest operators of malicious services - Lockbit and ALPHV/Black Cat (both Russian-language) - earned about $320 million from attacks.
In addition, Russian-language darknet marketplaces (DNM) provide about 95% of traffic from drug sales worldwide.
