Binance is committed to creating a safe and harmonious community environment. On the Binance Square platform, we promote a community atmosphere of mutual respect and growth. To ensure that all community members can share and express their views here and get inspiration from viewing quality content, Binance has published the following community management guidelines to provide the best community experience for every user.
In terms of content published by the community, members should act in a mutually beneficial manner in accordance with the Creator Content Guidelines. Binance prohibits conduct that violates honesty and authenticity; the release of low-quality content or continuous release of advertisements will also be regarded as behavior detrimental to the sustainable development of the community. Accounts that exhibit such behavior will be dealt with accordingly.
These guidelines are intended for all community users who use Binance Square. By using Binance Square, you shall be deemed to have agreed to these guidelines, in addition to Binance Square’s Terms of Use and Creator Content Guidelines .
1. Prohibited behaviors
All content submitted to the platform must follow Binance Square’s Terms of Use and Creator Content Guidelines and comply with all rules stated in this community management guidelines document and all applicable laws and regulations. Failure to comply with these requirements may result in deleted content, disabled accounts, or other restrictions.
As a general guide, prohibited behaviors include but are not limited to the following:
Level 1 Violation (Serious Violations)
- Publishing or disseminating content that violates laws, regulations, or related policies, or promotes radicalism, extremism, terrorism, illegal activities (including but not limited to pornography, gambling, and drugs), violent crimes, or contains racial discrimination, religious prejudice, political prejudice, promotes hatred and discrimination, or other offensive and disturbing information.
- Publishing or disseminating false statements that have not been confirmed by Binance or the relevant third-party officials, involves the spreading of rumors, or deliberate defaming.
- Publishing or disseminating content that may cause harm to others or engaging in activity that may cause financial loss to users, including but not limited to:
- Fraudulent behavior: Such as creating fake price charts, publishing information in an attempt to manipulate the market and promoting fraudulent projects.
- Directing users to a third-party platform, including but not limited to:
- Promotion of third-party platforms aimed at profits, including but not limited to X (former Twitter) homepage (only allowed to be retained in biography);
- Personal accounts or non-public groups, including but not limited to personal contact information or private groups on third-party platforms, such as WeChat, Telegram or Discord;
- Websites that Binance determines to be suspicious or unsafe;
- Download links aimed at profits.
- Please note that we allow educational tutorial content (such as on-chain analysis, airdrop tutorials), or third-party channels published for the purpose of quotation and copyright declaration. Binance reserves the right to final interpretation of content review. Its final review results are not intended as any investment advice, users must DYOR before any investment.
- Requesting sensitive information (such as a wallet address, contract address, login information, etc.).
- Phishing.
- Promoting paid services to other platform users or requesting payment, begging, etc.
- Using illegal means to publish/participate in platform events or engaging in other behaviors that endanger the legitimate rights and interests of others. This includes, but is not limited to, generating fake engagement using bots, posting false event information, incentivizing interaction, batch registration, etc.
- Attempts to sell, buy, or solicit other forms of payment in exchange for Binance Square account, username, nickname, profile picture, bio, etc.
- Please note that a username is necessary and must be established when you create your account. Once it's set, you won’t be able to change your username unless otherwise notified. You can modify your profile picture and bio once every 30 days.
Level 2 Violation (Moderate Violations)
- Posting marketing-related content without clearly stating that it is sponsored by a sponsor; or posting misleading information about a product, service, or business that exaggerates, incites, or incentivizes users.
- Publishing content that violates the intellectual property rights of others (such as copying or reposting content posted by others without permission).
- The use of another’s trademark, including their name, word, logo, phrase, or device in a manner that may mislead or confuse others about your affiliation. Associating with or using the trademark of decentralized projects, communities, or a trademark not owned by anyone.
- Please note that if you believe a username infringes your trademark rights, you can report it to Binance Customer Support with your trademark information. Binance Square will proactively investigate the issue, but will only process requests submitted by the trademark owner. Binance reserves the right to reset any username, nickname, profile picture, bio, or suspend an account if a violation is detected.
- Bullying, harassment, invasion of privacy, abuse, personal attacks, or other similar conduct.
Level 3 Violation (General Violations)
- Falsely implying a partnership or affiliation with Binance, including but not limited to:
- Using Binance logos/trademarks or official images in a profile picture;
- Using Binance official icons or images in posted content to mislead others and falsely implying the existence of a cooperative relationship with Binance; or
- Using misleading terms like "Binance" as nicknames, etc.
- Abusing the reporting function on the platform, including but not limited to submitting false feedback or reports in an attempt to damage the reputation of another party.
- Publishing pornographic, obscene, sexually suggestive content and other inappropriate content.
2. Encouraged behaviors
- Helping Binance foster the Binance Square community by promoting meaningful and genuine interactions and respecting everyone on the platform.
- Doing your own research (DYOR) before you submit any content to ensure the information you share is valid, reliable, and current.
- Publishing content with clear logic and proper structure. Binance Square encourages in-depth content with clear themes.
- Making reasonable and feasible suggestions for the platform.
- Reasonably expressing personal views or opinions, sharing your experience and knowledge, helping each other, and growing with other users in the community.
- Be honest and transparent. Be clear and transparent with your content in order to establish a genuine and trustworthy community environment on Binance Square.
- Managing the comments on your content daily and helping to maintain a clean and civilized community environment.
3. Community management
As a general guide, possible penalties for the appropriate levels of violations are as follows:
Possible Penalties for Level 1 (Serious) Violations include (but are not limited to):
- First offense: A warning will be issued and the violator’s permission to post and comment will be suspended for the offending account and linked accounts for 48 hours.
- Second offense: The offending account and linked accounts will be permanently frozen (including permission to post and comment).
Possible Penalties for Level 2 (Moderate) Violations include (but are not limited to):
- First offense: The violator will receive a warning, and their content’s traffic and exposure will be limited for 1 to 3 days depending on the severity of the violations.
- Second offense: Their content’s traffic and exposure will be limited for 7 to 15 days depending on the severity of the violations.
- Third offense: Permission to post and comment will be suspended for the offending account and linked accounts for 48 hours.
- Fourth offense: The offending account and linked accounts will be permanently frozen (including permission to post and comment).
Possible Penalties for Level 3 Violation include but are not limited to:
- First offense: The violator will receive a warning.
- Second offense: Their content’s traffic and exposure will be limited for 1 to 3 days depending on the severity of the violations.
- Third offense: Their content’s traffic and exposure will be limited for 3 to 7 days depending on the severity of the violations.
- Fourth offense: Their content’s traffic and exposure will be limited for 7 to 15 days depending on the severity of the violations.
Note: Penalties imposed under these Binance Square Community Management Guidelines will only affect your access and use of the Binance Square platform and shall not affect your access or use of other Binance products and services. If you have any comments about any penalty decisions, please contact the platform customer service within three working days.
We reserve all rights to take any actions and impose any penalties we deem appropriate for multiple violations or multiple violation types (i.e., committing multiple types of violations simultaneously) as well as serious violations (i.e., including but not limited to violations that may have a long-term damaging impact on the platform or its users, or that may have a significant impact on the public opinion of Binance or its reputation, etc.), which, on the first offense, includes but is not limited to taking measures to immediately and permanently freeze permission to post and comment for the offending account and linked accounts, and/or initiating judicial proceedings or other proceedings as we deem appropriate to seek legal recourse and remedies.
If a Level 1 Violation (serious violation) is committed in the comments section, the offending account and linked accounts will be permanently frozen (including permission to post and comment).
The Live community sets slightly different specifications for the management of violations at different levels. Please refer to the official announcements of the Live community.
Binance Square will continue to impose penalties on all new and existing content that violates our guidelines, including but not limited to removing or deleting some or all of the content, modifying or clearing relevant nicknames or profiles, and resetting profile pictures to the default profile picture.
Lastly, thank you for becoming part of this vibrant community and supporting our community. If you encounter content or accounts that you believe may violate Binance Square’s Community Guidelines, please let us know promptly so we can review them and take appropriate action. You can make a report through the Binance Square’s interface on each content, comment, and profile.

Note:
(1) As mentioned, the classification tiers and community management guidelines in sections 1 and 3 above are provided for general reference only. They are not intended to bind, fetter, limit, or interfere with Binance Square’s sole and absolute discretion to determine, on a case-by-case basis, the severity of the prohibited behavior in question and the appropriate sanctions/penalties (if necessary).
(2) You agree that you have read, understood, and accepted these Terms (and any subsequent amendments that may be issued) and the provisions of any other applicable terms and conditions that may be deemed to be included in these Terms.
(3) Binance reserves the right in its sole discretion to amend or cancel these guidelines at any time and for any reason without prior notice.
