Preliminary reports found using Tonscan show that block generation on TON was paused for nearly three hours. $TON Foundation members revealed that the outage was caused by transaction overload, mainly involving $DOGS .
As of press time, TON has fixed the problem and restored network operations.
Toncoin retested its August lows after a 26% plunge over the weekend. Its price fell 2.98% to $5.25 in the past 24 hours. It is unclear whether this downtime incident will affect the demand for Toncoin in the short term. Especially now that the network is back to normal operation.
