The elected President of the United States, Donald Trump, announced on social media the launch of his own cryptocurrency called $TRUMP. On the first day, 200 million coins will be available to users, and over the course of three years, the total supply will grow to one billion.
In the first hours after launch, the market capitalization of the meme coin $TRUMP reached three billion dollars, and after one and a half hours, it exceeded four billion.
The project's website is styled after Trump and contains his phrase "Fight, fight, fight," said after the assassination attempt in the summer of 2024.
Trump, who previously referred to cryptocurrencies as a scam, changed his mind during the election campaign. He promised to make the U.S. the "world capital of cryptocurrency" and accumulate a national reserve of bitcoins.
