$USUAL BlockBeats News, January 1st, Usual stated on social media that at 5 PM Beijing time yesterday afternoon, the Usual protocol experienced a large-scale USD0 sell-off triggered by a whale trading in the secondary market. This event raised questions about the ability of USD0 to maintain its peg to 1 US dollar. USD0 briefly fell to 0.99 US dollars and then returned to the 1 US dollar peg within seconds, although there was initially a deviation of several basis points (bps) due to ongoing sell-offs, it fully restored its peg after a few hours. USD0 can always be redeemed for its underlying collateral assets at a ratio of 1:1, ensuring the solvency of the Usual protocol. Currently, all USD0 can be redeemed on a T+0 basis and are supported by highly liquid short-term money market instruments. The peg has returned to normal, and there is now a significant amount of instant liquidity available for arbitrageurs in the market. This incident was the first significant stress test of USD0's pegging ability, with redemption volumes in just a few hours exceeding the entire TVL (Total Value Locked) of GHO, yet the protocol continued to operate as usual. Efforts will continue to optimize processes and improve efficiency, with many exciting updates set to be released soon.

$USUAL will not decouple When a short-term run occurs and the exchange rate falls, the collateral issuer has a corresponding arbitrage mechanism to start and quickly balance the exchange rate For example, Hashnote's whitelist users can exchange USD0 and USYC at a 1:1 ratio. Using this mechanism, they can purchase USD0 at a low price and exchange it for 1:1 USYC for arbitrage (The USD0 "decoupling" that occurred today perfectly demonstrates this mechanism: Hashnote whitelist users quickly launched arbitrage and equalized the exchange rate in a short period of time) Challenges and opportunities coexist. USUAL has been too popular recently, and it is normal to be attacked. However, it is this attack that perfectly demonstrates USUAL's emergency mechanism. Learn more about it.

$USUAL Beware of fake accounts on X. The fall in the price of the currency is a minor issue, but clicking on a phishing link by mistake and causing your wallet to be stolen is a major issue. Keep your eyes open and identify the official account. There are many fake accounts under the official Usual account that are fishing there.

The usual circulation will gradually decrease the supply as the amount of staking increases, rather than stopping the issuance. May I ask, if the issuance stops, where will the daily staking rewards come from? Why are you shouting there without understanding anything?

$USUAL Some people say usual is an air coin? You can check the official website for yourself; the underlying asset of usual is USYC. USYC (US Yield Coin) is the on-chain representation of the Hashnote Short-Term Yield Fund (SDYF). SDYF invests in short-term U.S. Treasury bills and conducts repurchase/reverse repurchase activities as the underlying asset for the USYC token. USYC earns short-term risk-free interest rate returns. The fund benefits from the trading speed, transparency, and composability of tokenization while eliminating almost all protocol, custody, regulatory, and credit risks associated with other token projects.

USUAL is not suitable for those with an unstable mindset to invest, the views are as follows: 1. USUAL encourages long-term holding 2. High popularity, large short-term fluctuations 3. An unstable mindset cannot hold, easily buying high and selling low 4. Market makers have high levels, playing with your thoughts 5. Impulsive mindset, taking oneself too seriously, likes to speculate on rises and falls in the short term, thinking of oneself as a swing trading expert, but is actually just a small player 6. There are all kinds of rumors in the square, if you do not have your own independent judgment after in-depth research, it is easy to be led astray and become cannon fodder Long-term bullish, usual is unusual🚀🚀🚀

$USUAL An example to understand USUALx staking ▶️ Day 1 1 USUAL = 0.95 USUALx ▶️ Day 2 1 USUAL = 0.9 USUALx 1️⃣ If you staked 100 USUAL at 0.95 on the first day, you would receive 95 USUALx 2️⃣ Then on the second day, your 95 USUALx would be worth 95/0.9 = 105.5 USUAL. If you choose to exit at this point, you need to return 10% of the USUAL (not USUALx), which amounts to 105.5 * 10% = 10.55 USUAL What you receive is 94.95 USUAL 🔹 If you wish to offset the returned portion, you need to hold for a longer time 😋 🔹 The returned tokens: 1/3 destroyed, 1/3 distributed to USUALx, 1/3 distributed to USUAL*

$USUAL Binance has invested, are you still worried about the death spiral? This coin is truly not suitable for contracts because of its large volatility, but it trends upward in the long term. Don't try to outsmart the market by predicting its movements, thinking of selling high and buying low to make short-term gains. Be clear about your position; you are just a small retail investor. Hold onto your spot, earn the portion of money that you should earn and is guaranteed.
