According to TechFlow, cointelegraph reported that the Cardano blockchain experienced a DDoS attack on June 25, which started at block number 10,487,530. The attack aimed to reduce the fees of high-value transactions by manipulating the blockchain and attempted to steal staked ADA tokens. Raul Antonio, CTO of Fluid Tokens, explained that the attacker took advantage of a loophole in which the reference script size did not affect transaction fees.

Philip Disarro, founder and CEO of Anastasia Labs, said that developers successfully prevented the attack and recovered the stolen ADA tokens. Intersect confirmed the attack and thanked the developer community for quickly resolving the problem. Although the network was not breached, the increased load caused some equity pool operators to be affected. Developers are testing new node versions to further reduce the impact of such attacks.
