The token was deployed through pump.fun and claimed to be in cooperation with Ticketmaster, but Ticketmaster did not issue a relevant statement. All posts mentioning the token have been deleted.
MoonPay President Keith A. Grossman posted a message on Metallica's X account to remind users and stated that MoonPay does not support $METAL tokens on Solana. This incident caused the price of METAL tokens to plummet by about 90% after a brief rise, and the market value dropped to about $43,000. At present, the specific cause of the incident is still unclear.
