According to TechFlow, OpenAI tweeted that it had originally planned to launch the alpha version of ChatGPT Plus' advanced voice mode at the end of June, but it would need to be delayed for a month to ensure safety and reliability.

Voice Mode can understand and respond emotionally and non-verbally, bringing users one step closer to having real-time, natural conversations with AI.

They plan to make it available to all Plus users in the fall. They are also rolling out new video and screen sharing features and will update the schedule as they go.
