Access Protocol uses Actions and Blinks to enable one-click purchasing

Subscription service protocol Access Protocol leverages Solana Actions and Blinks technology to provide one-click purchase of SOL-denominated ACS subscription services for The Block and CryptoSlate.

What are Solana Actions & Blinks?

Solana Actions is an API that delivers signable transactions to protocol-specified programs. Blinks detects the Solana Actions API and builds interfaces that simplify the user experience.

For Access Protocol, Solana Actions allows users to use SOL to purchase pledged ACS subscriptions, while Blinks are published through mapped links to conduct transactions in widely available interfaces such as publishing websites and even Twitter.

Currently, CryptoSlate and The Block have launched subscription purchase functions priced in SOL. The two companies plan to integrate the checkout experience directly into their websites. Access Protocol plans to roll out Solana Actions and Blinks to an additional 20 creators next week, and eventually expand the feature to all 160 creators on the platform.

Access Protocol CEO: A great application portfolio

Andreas Nicolos, CEO of Access Labs, said: "Solana Actions and Blinks are absolute game changers for the crypto space and the Access ecosystem. Solana Actions simplifies the user onboarding experience, while Blinks expands the breadth of participation. The two products' The impact of this combination cannot be underestimated.”

How to use the Blinks function

Protocols map transaction links to specific Solana Actions. Blinks technology expands these links in an easy-to-use interface through browser extensions. Wallet users like exchange Backpack can enjoy the convenience of Blinks integration directly in their wallets, and other wallet users can simply download the Blinks extension created by Dialect and select the wallet they wish to enable Blinks on.

On day one of launch, more than eight leading Solana teams were leveraging Solana Actions and Blinks technology. Over time, we can expect to see more sophisticated applications of this technology, further simplifying the user experience.
