According to TechFlow, AssangeDAO tokens surged more than 80% after Julian Assange was released from Belmarsh Prison in the UK. Assange is expected to plead guilty to a charge in a court on the Pacific island of Saipan, which could free him and allow him to return to Australia.

Since its inception in February this year, AssangeDAO has raised 16,593 ETH, of which 11,000 ETH (about $37 million) has been used for legal defense and advocacy. Assange's case involves charges of violating the US Espionage Act. He has reached a plea agreement with the US Department of Justice and is expected to be sentenced to 62 months in prison, but since he has exceeded this period in British imprisonment, he may be released soon.
