Golden Finance reported that American rapper Curtis James Jackson III (stage name "50 Cent") claimed that his X account and website were hacked, resulting in hackers promoting a cryptocurrency and defrauding $300 million from victims. The hacker created a new crypto token "GUNIT", using 50 Cent's approximately 12.9 million followers to attract more investors and drive up the price, then draining its value, with the token price plummeting to $0.00016. On June 21, 50 Cent posted on Instagram to his 32.8 million followers claiming that his X account and website had been hacked, and admitted that a large amount of victims' funds had been lost from the project. "Twitter quickly locked my account. Whoever did it made $300 million in 30 minutes," 50 Cent declared that he "had nothing to do with this cryptocurrency."
