🚀 Swiss startup Aleph Zero is launching a testnet for its ZK-privacy layer-2 solution, zkOS, capable of achieving “subsecond confirmation times.”

🔒 Developed in partnership with Gelato, zkOS uses the Arbitrum Anytrust DAC responsible for ensuring data availability.

🕒 The network can generate a block in less than 250 ms with “near-instant transaction finality,” processing “thousands of transactions per second.”

📅 The main developer network is scheduled for release in Q3 2024, with additional features expected by Q1 2025.

💻 Initial estimates indicate that zkOS zero-knowledge proofs can be completed "in 600-800ms on a MacBook (M1-M3 processors) using browsers such as Safari or Chrome."

🎉 Aleph Zero has successfully raised over $14 million through pre-seed and seed rounds of funding, as well as public sales of its AZERO tokens.
