The new currency ZRO launched an 85 million airdrop. Can we catch up?
According to official information, the community token allocation is designed to reward early, current and future persistent LayerZero developers and users, while expanding the LayerZero ecosystem.
The 38.3% (383,000,000 ZRO) community allocation is divided into the following categories:
Retrospective plan: 8.5% of the ZRO supply is available for eligible participants to claim on June 20. (More information on eligibility will be provided later.)
Future plan: 15.3% of the ZRO supply is reserved for future direct allocation to users, protocols, infrastructure builders and community members through future snapshots and methods such as RFP. At launch, this part of 11.5% of the ZRO supply will be unlocked, and the allocation will start with the new Discord community plan, which will use 5,000,000 ZRO.
Ecosystem and Growth: 14.5% of the ZRO supply will be managed by the LayerZero Foundation. At launch, 5% of this portion of the ZRO supply will be unlocked for ecosystem growth, funding programs, and liquidity provision.
How the remaining 62.7% will be allocated
Strategic Partners — 322,000,000 ZRO
Strategic partners, including investors and advisors, are subject to a three-year vesting period, including a one-year lockup period and monthly unlocks for the next two years.
Core Contributors — 255,000,000 ZRO
Core contributors, including current and future LayerZero Labs employees, are subject to a three-year vesting period, including a one-year lockup period and monthly unlocks for the next two years.
Buyback Tokens — 40,000,000 ZRO
4.0% of the ZRO supply has been repurchased by LayerZero Labs and committed for community allocations.
Each of LayerZero’s six market makers received ZRO tokens. Among them, @GSR_io received 11 million ZRO, @wintermute_t received 6.5 million ZRO, @ambergroup_io received 5.69 million ZRO, @Auros_global received 360,000 ZRO, @animocabrands received 800,000 ZRO, and another unknown institution received 500,000 ZRO.
There will be a large amount of selling at the opening, which will cause market panic. It is recommended to wait for 1 hour after the opening before buying!
