Beware of new virtual currency scams, don't be cheated out of your money! ?
There is a super powerful virtual currency scam running rampant on the Internet now, many investors are unlucky, and I almost got caught!
Someone contacted me on WeChat and said that he was in a hurry to buy "oil" (virtual currency). The Alipay transfer record looked normal and the money had arrived. I was honest and quickly transferred the "oil" to the address he gave. As a result, a few hours later, he said that he had not received it at all, and suspected that I had transferred it to the wrong address.
After a long time, it turned out that he had found a so-called "over-the-counter acceptance merchant" to buy "oil". He had traded with him several times before and thought it was okay, so he contacted him again. Who knew it was a well-designed big scam!
The scammer took advantage of the loophole that Alipay transfers cannot see the real name of the payee, and used other accounts to pay, making us think that the money had arrived, and then cheated our "oil"!
When you find out that you have been cheated, the money has been given to the seller of "oil", and it is too difficult to get it back!
Calling the police can only track the flow of funds, and the "oil" cannot be found at all. What's worse is that if the seller has no evidence, both the money and the "oil" are gone!
So how to prevent this kind of bad scam?
When selling "oil", be sure to ask the buyer to provide detailed transfer records and identity verification information to confirm that it is the person who pays.
When using WeChat, you must verify that the real-name authentication is the same as the transfer name, and when using Alipay, you must also carefully check the payee information.
Most importantly, resolutely do not ask for third-party payment, don't make trouble for yourself!
Be careful when choosing an off-site acceptance or guarantor, don't be greedy and lose everything in the end. Market prices are transparent. If you encounter a price that is too outrageous, be careful, it may be a scam!
