Circle CEO and co-founder Jeremy Allaire says he's "wildly optimistic" that cryptocurrencies are in the very early stages of adoption. 🚀

“I've been building Circle for over 11 years, and there's never been a time when I've been more optimistic than I am right now,” Allaire said. Allaire states that cryptocurrencies are based on his 35 years of experience and knowledge in tracking the adoption lifecycles of internet technology.

Allaire explained that "open IP's collective contribution to this ongoing internet revolution actually appears to be accelerating, and cryptocurrency appears to be on the verge of catapulting society and the economy forward in extremely powerful new ways."

Cryptocurrencies have opened up space for Bitcoin's "ton of incredibly sharp technologists," Allaire said. Digital assets are now generally accepted, and the world's largest asset management firms are bringing their products and services on-chain.

Additionally, global payment giants are now turning to cryptocurrencies and stablecoins are becoming the “clearest killer application” of cryptocurrency. "All of this can be accomplished in the next 10+ years. Time flies, but when you consider what has been accomplished and how it prepares us for the future, it's hard not to be wildly optimistic right now," Allaire said.
