X CEO: Payment function is coming soon, not sure whether to use Dogecoin
X CEO Linda Yaccarino said that the social media platform (formerly Twitter) will soon launch a payment function for users, continuing to move towards a "universal application".
Speaking at the Cannes International Creativity Festival in France, Yaccarino emphasized that the company has made innovative progress under her leadership since Musk acquired Twitter in 2022.
"We are focusing on the needs of users. Our vision and the speed of innovation of the company are beyond words."
Musk hopes that Twitter will become an "all-powerful application" covering a variety of services from banking to dating, and the introduction of payment functions is part of Musk's vision.
The upcoming financial ecosystem aims to integrate various technical functions and provide users with many new experiences. The payment function is planned to initially support only "fiat currency", but as development proceeds, it is possible to support Crypto asset payments in the future.
X has made great progress and obtained three remittance licenses in July last year, laying the foundation for its new payment system.
