ChainCatcher reported that according to Cointelegraph, the crypto political action committee (PAC) Fairshake Group has invested more than $2 million to oppose the incumbent in the Democratic primary in New York's 16th Congressional District. According to data from the US Federal Election Commission, Fairshake's funds are mainly used for media advertising to prevent Democratic Congressman Jamaal Bowman from being re-elected.
Fairshake's attack ads do not directly mention cryptocurrency or blockchain, but accuse Congressman Bowman of "promoting dangerous conspiracy theories" throughout his career.
