Ripple plans to launch stablecoins on XRP Ledger and Ethereum this year, with the aim of bridging the traditional finance and cryptocurrency sectors. This stablecoin will be known as Ripple USD (RLUSD). 😼

However, RLUSD was already the subject of controversy before its launch. The United States SEC marked it as an “unregistered crypto asset,” continuing its long-running legal battle with Ripple.

Even so, some crypto enthusiasts, including X user Alex Cobb, have suggested that this upcoming product could be an important factor in triggering a potential price increase for Ripple's native token, XRP.
