#Telegram Game 'Hamster Kombat' Hits 100 Million Players—Here's When the Token Is Coming.
Telegram's fast-growing crypto game Hamster Kombat is gearing up to launch a token on The Open Network in the near future. This is it.
Hamster Kombat, the latest Telegram-based game following in the footsteps of crypto gaming sensation Notcoin, is seeing interest skyrocket ahead of its upcoming token launch on The Open Network (TON). Now the team has revealed a major milestone for players and has provided launch targets for the upcoming token.
On Wednesday, the Hamster Kombat team announced that it had attracted 100 million players to its Telegram mini-app to date, up from a claimed figure of 60 million players last Friday.
That's a huge number of players for any game, let alone one that will have crypto tokens in the near future. There's definitely little friction to start playing, and the game itself is built around a simple click mechanic.
It's not hard to get people on board and start playing Hamster Kombat, but whether they stick around is another story. For now, screenshots of data shared by Hamster Kombat show a range of 40-45 million daily active users (DAU), although a large portion of these are likely to be first-timers considering the influx of new users.
Hamster Kombat also received significant social media attention, lending credence to its claimed player base statistics.
The game now has the single largest Telegram channel on the messaging app with more than 27 million subscribers, or more than three times the official Notcoin announcement channel, for example. He has also amassed nearly 17 million YouTube subscribers, and also has nearly six million Twitter followers.
