Rueters reported that CZ, the founder of Binance, could spend 36 months in prison after pleading guilty to violating US anti-money laundering laws 🇺🇸.
US prosecutors asked the federal court in Washington that CZ be sentenced to 36 months in prison.
According to defense documents submitted by CZ, he asserted that he was not aware of and was not explicitly informed of the specific transactions involving criminal funds that took place via Binance.
CZ also indicated that he would not pose a risk of committing the crime again if he were sentenced to criminal probation instead of prison.
