Donald Trump negotiates support with crypto exchange owners

Thanks to the meeting, Donald Trump managed to raise about $12 million, according to the news agency’s interlocutors. The Silicon Valley venture capital event in Pacific Heights was hosted by former Facebook (NASDAQ:META) executive and investor Chamath Palihapitiya.

The meeting was attended by the heads of the American cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase (NASDAQ:COIN), the founders of the Gemini platform, brothers Tyler and Cameron Winklevoss, and some other representatives of the cryptocurrency market, Reuters sources say.

According to Intercom CEO Eoghan McCabe, those who decided to give money to Trump believe that he will be able to change the policy regarding cryptocurrencies and market regulation for the better.

Earlier, Donald Trump, speaking to voters in Washington, promised to make the United States a crypto hub, and also to pardon the founder of the darknet site Silk Road, Ross Ulbricht.
