PANews reported on June 7 that Coingecko reported that its third-party email platform GetResponse suffered a data breach on June 5, affecting 1,916,596 user contact information, and 23,723 email addresses were used to send phishing emails. The leaked data includes metadata such as the user's name (if provided at registration), email address, IP address, and email opening location, but user accounts and passwords are not affected. Coingecko has notified the affected users and reminded all users to be vigilant and avoid clicking on links or downloading attachments from unknown sources, especially emails claiming to provide token airdrops. Currently, Coingecko is working with GetResponse to investigate the incident and strengthen security measures.

Yesterday, it was reported that Tether CEO: An email service provider widely used by crypto companies has been hacked. Please be wary of recent airdrop-related emails.
