Happycoin.club - A developer shared a sad story of losing funds after accidentally making his wallet's private keys public on the GitHub developer platform.

Brian Guan, co-founder of the Web3 streaming application Unlonely, published a post on social network X, banned in Russia, in which he claimed that he lost $40,000 after making the GitHub repository public. The developer wrote that he forgot that his private keys were also located there.

When one of his followers asked how long it took to withdraw funds, Guan replied that the theft of assets took only two minutes.

Guan's post quickly went viral in X, and the reaction of members of the crypto community to it was mixed. Some expressed sympathy, but there were also those who reminded the developer of his past harsh statements.

For example, in 2023, Guan wrote that he does not understand projects that pay $200,000 to smart contract engineers. In his opinion, any reputable developer "should be able to write code using ChatGPT."

Recalling this post, user X, under the username Foobar, quipped that developers should be able to use an artificial intelligence-based chatbot to store the private keys for their GitHub wallets.
