Lisette Ledón
Lisett is a mixed media artist currently based in Barcelona, Spain. She started as a freelance designer while studying at the Higher Institute of Design in Havana and, from very early on, began working with mixed techniques due to her great flexible nature.
Working in this medium allows Lisett to experiment with illustration, typography and textures, while intervening and revising existing images. She finds it incredibly appealing to create something completely new and unexpected from existing images, and this feeling is instantly evident in the work she produces.
“Being based in Spain and having lived for some time in Madrid has made me notice first-hand the way in which Cristiano Ronaldo is respected, loved and remembered in this city.
For the creation of the piece I focused on their celebratory poses. During his stay in Madrid, Cristiano was recognized for his specific poses and gestures that have now passed into popular culture and history.
Pasquale Garibaldi
Pasquale Garibaldi is a freelance illustrator based in Milan. A graduate of the European Institute of Design in Milan, he began his career as an animator while his passion for sports pushed him towards a bold, colorful and dynamic illustration style.
“Fascinated by the historical legacy of the city of Turin, I tried to convey the energy with which Cristiano Ronaldo came to us, in Italy, and the strength he showed match after match in all stadiums.
I picked one goal in particular that once again showed an athleticism and desire to get to the top that few players have, completely breaching the defense in a single leap.”
Shaker Kashgari
Shaker Kashgari is an Arabic calligrapher and artist based in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. He began his journey with Arabic calligraphy in 2013 and has since participated in numerous exhibitions in Jeddah, Riyadh and Sharjah with ATHR Gallery and the Saudi Art Council.
“I was very happy to be part of this project as it shows the beauty of Saudi culture alongside Cristiano Ronaldo and the place where he plays now. It is a great opportunity to showcase Saudi and Arab culture within a creative graphic design that mixes local elements with Cristiano's legacy.
“It has been a true honor to work with one of the world's greatest footballers and explore how Cristiano's image can help introduce more people to Saudi and Arab culture and arts.”
