Recently, there have been many thefts in the cryptocurrency circle. First, the Japanese exchange was stolen.

DMM Bitcoin, which operates a cryptocurrency trading business of the DMM.com Group, had about 48.2 billion yen (about 307 million U.S. dollars) worth of bitcoin stolen. Although cryptocurrency exchanges and competent authorities are strengthening security measures, cryptocurrency outflows caused by hacker attacks continue to occur.

Then there was the theft of the OKX exchange.

A Chinese OKX user, "Lai Ri Fang Chang", complained that hackers used his leaked personal information to forge ID cards and headshot videos through AI, bypassed the review, and successfully changed his mobile phone number, email address and Google authenticator, resulting in more than 2 million U.S. dollars in assets being stolen. He questioned why the OKX risk control system failed to prevent such a simple method, and accused the platform of being responsible for the security loopholes, emphasizing the contradiction between his trust as a user and the loss of assets.

Then Binance was also reported to have been stolen.

In response to the theft of user accounts, Binance issued a statement explaining the reason. The incident was caused by the hacker's computer being hacked, and the hacker stole the account login status through the plug-in to operate. Binance Security Customer Service completed the account freeze within 1 minute and 19 seconds, but because the hacker used a knock-on transaction, it took time to track it down. Binance said that the attack involved malicious plug-ins installed by users, and the platform had no compensation liability. Binance will improve system security and recommend that users only use official apps and plug-in-free browsers to access the Binance website, and promptly exit apps and browsers involving funds.

Here are some reminders for everyone: Be sure to use a cold wallet and put it in a large exchange now, at least you can recover your losses! Don't use unknown plug-ins, and be sure to read the software carefully! Multi-signature, password strength, and mnemonics must be written down in a notebook and kept confidential!

Pay attention to network security, and never use public or other people's Wi-Fi networks to access wallets to prevent hackers from phishing or stealing assets through public network attacks. Key tips: It is really not recommended to access heavy asset wallets through VPN.

I am a panda, and I hope you will never encounter coin theft.

Guard your wallet!
