In response, it said that after careful consideration, its subsidiary Spark Fintech Limited decided to withdraw its application for a virtual asset service provider (VASP) license submitted to the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission, and has suspended all products and services on the Hong Kong platform except customer withdrawals after June 1. Affected customers are advised to withdraw the remaining funds as soon as possible according to the instructions provided, but Bybit said it will continue to support Hong Kong to become a leading virtual currency innovation center.
