Remarkable China Statement from Tether Co-Founder: A Comeback is Inevitable!

The co-founder of stablecoin issuer Tether said China will return to cryptocurrencies.

Tether's co-founder Brock Pierce discussed China and Hong Kong issues in a statement to the South China Morning Post after the Solowin and Sequire Asia Investor Summit held in Hong Kong last week.

Brock Pierce, who founded Tether in Hong Kong, announced that he was considering returning to work in the city. Pierce had previously gone through an ebb and flow with Hong Kong.

However, the co-founder stated that China will open up to cryptocurrencies and stated that this was inevitable, but did not give a clear date.

He reminded that China carries great opportunities for cryptocurrencies in terms of its supply chain and economy:

Will China open up to cryptocurrencies? I would say this is inevitable. The question is not if this will happen, but when. China's supply chain advantage is huge. It's clear that there's a huge opportunity here if you build the right system.
