McDonald's Hong Kong branch decided to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Chicken McNuggets at The Sandbox. In the metaverse, nuggets will be animated and you can take selfies and talk with them.

The Chicken McNugget was first sold worldwide in 1983.

McDonald's Hong Kong will invite Sandbox users to play McNuggets-themed mini-games in the virtual space. The virtual nuggets themselves will turn into game characters with whom you can talk, take selfies, and learn details about the history of the famous dish.

Players receive rewards for completing quests, including SAND tokens, the native cryptocurrency of the Sandbox ecosystem.

Access to the themed site in the metaverse will last until August 28.

The McNuggets Land metaverse project in Hong Kong is not the first time McDonalds has used blockchain technology in advertising activities. The company's branches in the USA and China launched NFT collections at the end of 2021.#NFT #nftcommunity
