CoinVoice has recently learned that Matter Labs founder and CEO Alex posted a message on the social platform to respond to the controversy caused by the registration of the "ZK" trademark.
Alex said that Matter Labs rejects the concept of "intellectual property". However, trademarks exist to protect users, not companies. All trademarks that Matter Labs has ever registered, including those related to ZK, are defensive to prevent dishonest actors from misleading customers and confusing their products and services with those provided by Matter Labs (which, unfortunately, has been the case in the past).
