Recently, many investors have been asking whether the alt season will come and when it will come.

Even though S-1 has been passed and a lot of money has flowed into ETH, I am still cautiously optimistic about whether the alt season can be launched. Even if the ETH spot ETF is fully launched, the funds entering are mainly USD-based, mainly corresponding to ETH itself. I have reservations about whether the overall alt market, or even ETH's second-layer network or ecological projects, can enjoy long-term benefits. It should be clear that long-term benefits do not only depend on a single factor, and short-term increases may be affected by market sentiment.

When the ETH spot ETF begins trading, I believe that market sentiment is likely to drive a wave of increases in the ETH ecosystem. But the essential condition for the arrival of the alt season is the improvement of liquidity, which implies the overflow of funds from BTC and ETH. However, so far, the USD standard driven by ETFs has mainly stimulated external funds and on-site funds to invest in BTC and ETH. Whether these funds will overflow to ALT (altcoins), we cannot accurately judge.

If the alt season is to really start, my personal opinion is that this is more likely to happen at the end of the year when the expected interest rate cut and the election cycle are in place. Only at this point in time can it be possible to directly stimulate the increase in liquidity. The effect driven by the ETH spot ETF is likely to be the same as the BTC spot ETF at the time, which is only a short-term effect.

Therefore, although the alt season may be late, I firmly believe that it will never be absent. Investors are advised to buy and hold the spot at a low level and wait for the arrival of the bull market.
