Another Cryptocurrency Warning from the USA: Everyone Will Follow the Same Rules!

New York Attorney General has warned that cryptocurrency market players will go after companies that do not want to play by the same rules as everyone else.

New York Attorney General Letita James said in a post she shared via Twitter that she would go after some cryptocurrency companies.

James, who made a $2 billion deal with the bankrupt cryptocurrency company Genesis earlier this week, condemned the lack of oversight that caused investors to suffer.

James included the following statements in his post:

Crypto companies should play by the same rules as everyone else. We will go after those who cannot.

Gemini, Genesis, and Digital Currency Group were sued by the New York Attorney General's Office over Gemini's Earn program. While the $2 billion settlement made after the lawsuit was recorded as one of the largest settlements made for the crypto company, the company was banned from operating in New York.
