According to ChainCatcher, the Sei v2 upgrade has entered the second phase of release (Alpha release), which is open to developers and early adopters. Validators have upgraded their software to introduce Sei v2 to the mainnet. Existing applications and tokens will continue to run as before, and application deployment will still take some time. The Sei V2 upgrade introduces dual address support, supporting 0x addresses and Sei blockchain native addresses.

ChainCatcher previously reported that the Sei mainnet v2 upgrade will be carried out on May 27. The proposed upgrade will introduce a high-performance, parallelized EVM to enhance network functionality. Sei will launch the V2 upgrade in three phases, namely governance, Alpha release, and V2 readiness.
