[Blockchain News Flash] Axelar is deeply integrated with the Celestia ecosystem. The interoperability solution Interchain Amplifier will be integrated with Celestia's first sovereign Rollup Rollkit to simplify the creation process of interoperable Rollups and make the creation of new Rollups as simple as developing smart contracts. At the same time, the newly created Rollup will be able to easily connect to other blockchain networks such as EVM, Cosmos, Bitcoin, Polkadot, etc. Georgios Vlachos, co-founder and director of the Axelar Foundation, said that opportunities in the new ecosystem are emerging rapidly, and a quarter of transactions in the future will be cross-chain.
Rollkit integrates Axelar to liberate liquidity. Although it is easy to deploy new chains now, there are still transaction frictions and additional risks to obtain users and liquidity elsewhere, especially the Ethereum mainnet and other major EVM chains. But this situation is being resolved. Rollkit will integrate Axelar's Interchain Amplifier, which can automatically route various tokens between all chains connected to Axelar. It currently covers more than 60 chains and will support the access of more chains in the future.
Axelar's advantage lies in its decentralized nature and more secure underlying architecture. Vlachos said that it is very difficult for attackers to actually steal funds from Axelar because they need to steal the private keys of most of the 75 nodes.
For new chains, it is crucial to obtain liquidity on other chains, including stablecoins, because they usually lack native assets. Vlachos pointed out that new Rollups need to have stablecoins on day one. Axelar's Interchain Amplifier can use Interchain Token Service (ITS) - a cross-chain application built on the Amplifier layer, allowing anyone to create a cross-chain version of any token connected to Axelar.
Vlachos seems to have seen a more distant future: a future where users can focus on applications and assets, rather than the technology behind them that facilitates the operations they need. He said that Axelar's ultimate vision is that any application that is isolated and distributed on blockchains today, whether it is a decentralized exchange, lending market or NFT market, developers should be able to build a consistent user experience across different blockchain networks in the future.
