The Ethereum spot ETF will be voted on by the same five committee members who reviewed the Bitcoin ETF on May 23. If the voting results of the four committee members are the same as last time (2:2), Gary, Chairman of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) Gensler's vote will determine whether it passes.

Bitcoin Spot ETF Voting Results Will SEC Commissioners Reversal? Yes Vote Commissioners Hester Peirce, Mark Uyeda

Hester Peirce has always supported the encryption industry and constantly criticized SEC’s improper supervision. At the end of February, he even participated in the ETHDenver Summit.

Mark Uyeda has also criticized the SEC's "enforcement supervision" of the encryption industry. For example, last year, the SEC rejected Coinbase's petition for a special cryptocurrency law. Mark Uyeda disagreed with the SEC's arbitrary approach.

Hester Peirce Left No vote Caroline Crenshaw, Jaime Lizárraga

Caroline Crenshaw is a staunch opponent of the Bitcoin spot ETF. When it was passed on January 10, she published a long article criticizing the manipulation and fraud in the Bitcoin spot market.

Jaime Lizárraga is relatively moderate. He did not make a statement when the Bitcoin ETF was passed. He seems to be one of the candidates who is expected to run away. He opposes SEC enforcement supervision, but also believes that most cryptocurrencies are subject to U.S. securities laws.

Foreign media Cointelegraph pointed out that Bloomberg ETF analysts Eric Balchunas and James Seyffart’s approval forecast for the Ethereum spot ETF has dropped to 25% from 70% since January.
