According to Cointelegraph, CFTC Commissioner Caroline Pham believes that the road to clarifying U.S. cryptocurrency regulation has been paved after a partial victory in Ripple's lawsuit.

She said recent major court decisions on the classification of crypto assets will ultimately lead to regulatory clarity. “We’re going to see regulatory clarity around the definition of securities first in the courts, and I think we’re already seeing that through some very important court opinions that have been issued.”

Pham said she looks forward to participating in the regulatory working group and hopes the SEC and other regulators will work together to come up with a “holistic approach” to cryptocurrency regulation.
