Embracing the world beyond Bitcoin

I am glad that I can write the above text, which is not only a summary of my past, but also a long-cherished wish of my heart. If you ask me now if I am a Bitcoiner.

To be honest, I can't answer that.

It doesn’t matter if it is or not. I think the result is not so important at this moment. On the way of trying to become a Bitcoiner, I discovered a different me. A person who dares to set a goal, then works hard to achieve it, and records his or her mental journey through words, this is a meaningful thing.

Life is short and it is not easy to do something meaningful. My life value has increased a little bit because I was able to accomplish this thing.

It is precisely because of doing these things that I understand what I really need to pursue, and it also makes me see that there is a more interesting world outside of Bitcoin.

Perhaps what I am looking for is not the method or path to become a Bitcoiner, but the courage to face the hardships of life and live a positive life. After all, even if you become a Bitcoiner, you still need to face all kinds of messy trivialities in life, and being able to find the fun of life in these trivialities and make boring life interesting may be more important to my life.

At this point, I began to understand another meaning of Bitcoin being important and unimportant. I also understand part of the reason why Satoshi Nakamoto chose to leave the community: on the one hand, it was for complete decentralization. When Bitcoin had grown strong enough, his departure would not only allow Bitcoin, a social experiment, to continue, but also allow Bitcoin to develop better. On the other hand, Bitcoin was not all of Satoshi Nakamoto's life, as he left in his last message in the community: he had more important things to do.

I think each of us has more important things to do.

If you feel that Bitcoin has changed you, brought you wealth and a wonderful life, and you want to do something to repay it, then you can do what you can, such as running a full node, writing some popular science articles about Bitcoin, etc. Of course, it doesn't matter if you do nothing, work hard, live well, and use a pair of grateful eyes to discover the beauty in life that you have not discovered before. You don't need to worry about the future of Bitcoin, because the development of Bitcoin does not depend on any one person.

Of course, I have something more important to do next.

Perhaps, I will study the history of Bitcoin, try to figure out the ins and outs of major events in Bitcoin history, and what unknown stories happened in that barbaric era. As for whether it can be put into words in the end, it depends on fate.

Okay, that’s all.

at last,

Nick, a Bitcoiner who works hard to make a living?
