According to Sing Tao Daily, mainland investors are currently prohibited from purchasing related virtual currency assets. In response to the concerns about money laundering caused by the "virtual currency to ETF" mechanism in the market, the industry said that the large-scale funds involved will arouse vigilance and will conduct KYT (Know your token). In addition, the current ETF trading volume is low, making money laundering more difficult. The Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission emphasized that every link in the entire virtual asset ecosystem must be a licensed or authorized institution and strictly abide by the requirements. The relevant provisions of the Anti-Money Laundering Ordinance apply to the virtual asset industry.
