Audrey Nuna 和 SYKY drop “Glamour as Armour”

Blending the smooth vibes of R&B with the cutting-edge world of AR, digital fashion platform SYKY and Korean-American hip-hop artist Audrey Nuna have released a new virtual fashion collection, “Glamour as Armor.”

Designed by digital artist Fanrui Sun to coincide with Nuna’s new single “Jokes On Me,” the collection features a metallic design that evokes the spirit of Nuna’s signature “rage n B” style.

The pieces come with AR try-ons and downloadable 3D files, and collectors can attend a virtual meetup with Nuna and Sunw, as well as an invitation to a social event with Nuna on May 14 in New York City.

Base’s Onchain Summer is coming back soon

Base’s Onchain Summer is back, and this June will mark the return of this popular initiative, with Ethereum second layer Base and its partners offering 600 ETH to a new wave of digital innovators.

The month-long hackathon, which kicks off on June 3, features daily showcases between creators, developers, and artists, where projects that demonstrate usefulness and ingenuity will have the opportunity to reach a global audience and receive coverage, a number of prizes, grants, and gas points.

Paragraph acquires Mirror

Paragraph, a major player in the creator-driven publishing space, has acquired Mirror, a decentralized content platform built on the Ethereum blockchain. The announcement comes alongside Paragraph’s recent $5 million investment from Union Square Ventures and Coinbase Ventures.

This strategic move seeks to combine the relative strengths of Mirror and Paragraph in on-chain publishing. Both Paragraph and Mirror offer unique capabilities designed for web3 content creation, but Paragraph has tools for token-gated newsletters, AI-driven writing assistance, and detailed analytics, while Mirror’s strength is blogging, with built-in tools for SEO and discovery.

Yuga Labs and Somnia Collaboration

Yuga Labs, the creator of Bored Ape Yacht Club, and decentralized gaming hub Somnia are teaming up to provide collectors with a better experience in the Metaverse.

The move is aimed at increasing interoperability within BAYC’s virtual universe Otherside, and according to sources, Yuga Labs will use Somnia’s newly launched Metaverse browser to host missions, inviting players to use avatars in a wide range of interactive experiences. Somnia’s Metaverse browser is described as a decentralized version of the Steam video game store.

Boys Club networking evening sparks conversation with surveillance-themed party

The inaugural Net Gala, organized by web3 media brand Boys Club, made its chic debut at a Brooklyn warehouse on May 3, with the event drawing more than 500 attendees and featuring edgy outfits inspired by the digital age as well as tech exhibits like live video feeds, VR headsets, and digital confessional booths.

The surveillance-themed gala reportedly raised more than $5,000 to promote STEM education for girls.
