Binance, the world's leading cryptocurrency and blockchain infrastructure provider, continues to deepen its cybersecurity efforts in Latin America, with collaborations and workshops. On this occasion, it offered training aimed at representatives of the Financial Investigation Unit, the National Commission for Digital Assets and prosecutors from the Attorney General's Office of the Republic of El Salvador, in which the mechanisms that Binance has to provide support to judicial investigations taking place in the country.

In the training, the Kodex application, the Binance products available in El Salvador and their application according to the Salvadoran legal framework were discussed. It also delved into the interpretation and analysis of the information provided by Binance in case of investigations, and in urgent requests for those cases that require a prompt response.

The activity, which took place at the Training School of the Attorney General's Office of the Republic of El Salvador, was taught by René Guzmán, Compliance and MLRO of Binance for El Salvador, and by Daniel Camp, from the Binance Research team. Among those present were also the Deputy Prosecutor of the Financial Investigation Unit, Ana Virginia Samayoa Barón, and directors of the National Digital Assets Commission.

These actions are part of Binance's ongoing work around the world to deepen market intelligence and help strengthen efforts to prevent, investigate and combat financial crimes.

In 2023, Binance organized and participated in more than 120 in-person and remote training and workshops with Police and Prosecutor's Offices worldwide, including LATAM. Additionally, Binance investigations teams responded to more than 58,000 requests from authorities. To date, Binance has already helped authorities freeze and confiscate over one billion in USDT equivalent as part of its public and private collaborations to deter and capture malicious actors in this space.
